Its official: MADCOW workout

Hello folks, yes I have finally chosen to start up with Madcow's routine. Whats that you may say? Here it is: http://stronglifts.com/madcow/5x5_Program/Linear_5x5.htm

Its been a while since I do strength programs ever since taking up HVT workout. It was initially a 5 days split, and as I don't have time to cope with my studies, I've reduced it to 3 days split, but I don't feel that it was as effective as 5 days split. So I might as well go back to either Rippetoe's or Madcow's.

Why didn't I go back with starting strength? The main reason is I would like to try something different. Although it looks similar, but its different in the programming of the sets. Though, I did some adjustments to the program, to suite my taste.

For example on the assistance exercises:

1. Changed barbell curl to one arm preacher's curl.
I felt that whenever I'm using barbell, my dominant arm would take most of the weight...hence I'd prefer the one arm approach.

2. Wed's situp to reverse crunch.
Just want to have a different variety of abs, since Mon has included weighted situps.

3. Added some additional assistance workout.
Pullups/Chinups for the time being. Also added Power Cleans [this workout is fucking fun to play with!!].

And of course a session is never complete without cardio. At the end of every workout, I will go for a HIIT 15 mins cardio.

Will be posting my workout logs here. Cya!
